Vehicle Body Repairs in Leeds
Yes. Signature covers Leeds across LS1, LS2, LS6, LS8, LS11, LS16, LS17 and LS18, taking in Headingley, Roundhay and Horsforth. It is around an hour over the M62 from the Radcliffe body shop, so bookings are arranged as full day mobile visits or, for bigger jobs, a collection to the workshop. Dents, scratches, chips, bumper damage and trim are all covered.
Leeds is at the far edge of our regular map, forty five miles east over the M62 and about an hour each way. That distance is worth being honest about, because it changes how the work is booked rather than what it costs: Leeds jobs go on as full day visits with several cars where possible, or the car is collected and repaired at the Radcliffe workshop instead.
The postcodes we see most are LS1 and LS2 in the centre, LS11 to the south, LS6 around Headingley, LS8 towards Roundhay and LS16, LS17 and LS18 out to the north and Horsforth. The mix of damage changes across them. Centre and south is car park damage. North Leeds is driveway and gatepost damage, on cars where the owner wants the repair invisible.
City centre multi storey car parks are the biggest single source of work. Tight ramps, narrow bays and concrete pillars produce kerbed bumper corners, scraped doors and gouged sills, and cars parked there all day also collect dings from other people's doors. Headingley adds terraced street parking, where cars sit nose to tail and door edges do the damage instead.
Is Leeds too far for a mobile body repair?
No, but it is far enough to need planning. An hour each way over the M62 means Leeds bookings are scheduled onto full days rather than fitted around other work, usually with Bradford or Halifax on the same trip. You get a set arrival time, and the quote is agreed from photographs before anyone sets off.
The alternative is bringing the car to us. Free collection and delivery applies to workshop jobs, which suits anything larger: rust, damage across several panels, or work that needs the car under cover while paint cures. For a single bumper corner or a stone chipped bonnet, the mobile visit is still the simpler option.

Where does the damage come from on Leeds cars?
Mostly from parking in a dense city. Multi storey ramps, narrow bays and kerbs set higher than they look account for the majority of the bumper corners, scraped alloys and sill damage we repair in LS1, LS2 and LS11. Almost all of it is cosmetic, which means it repairs on site without the panel coming off the car.
Further out, the causes change. In Roundhay, Horsforth and the LS16 and LS17 streets, damage tends to come from gateposts, hedges and driveways rather than public car parks, and the cars involved are often newer. Those repairs are judged on the blend: the colour has to be mixed to the panel, not just the paint code, and taken out into the surrounding paint so nothing stops in a visible line.
What counts as a vehicle body repair?
Cosmetic damage to the outside of the car that has not gone through or distorted the structure of the panel. That covers dents and creases, scratches from light marks to deep key damage, scuffs and scrapes along wings and doors, stone chips on bonnets and front panels, cracked or kerbed bumpers, faded and split plastic trim, and rust that has started around a chip or an old repair.
It does not cover accident damage. If a panel is torn, an impact has pushed the shell out of alignment, or something behind the panel has been damaged, that belongs at a full accident repair centre and we will tell you so rather than hide it under filler and paint.
Most of what we see is small damage that has simply been left. One chip on a bonnet is nothing. Thirty of them, plus a scuffed bumper corner and a dented rear door, is what makes a five year old car look ten.
- Dents, dings and creases in any panel
- Scratches and scuffs, superficial through to bare metal
- Stone chips on bonnets, wings and door edges
- Cracked, scuffed and dented plastic bumpers
- Key scratches and other vandal damage
- Faded, scuffed or cracked textured plastic trim
- Surface rust, cut back and repainted at the body shop

What we cover
Vehicle Body Repairs we carry out in Leeds
Dent repair and PDR
Dents on any panel, from car park dings to larger impressions in a door or wing. Where the paint is unbroken, paintless dent removal reshapes the metal from behind and keeps the original finish. Where it is not, the panel is filled, sanded and refinished.
Bumper damage repairs
Scuffs, scrapes, cracks and dents in plastic bumpers. Cracks are welded from behind, then filled and reprofiled at the front so the shape is right before any paint goes on. Bumpers need a flexible primer, otherwise the paint splits the next time the plastic moves in cold weather.
Paint scratch repair
Scratches that have cut through the lacquer into the colour or primer. The mark is flatted back until its edges disappear, filled if it has reached metal, then primed, sprayed and blended along the panel so the repair does not stop in a visible line.
Stone chips and rust treatment
Fresh chips are touched in and flat polished, which seals the metal and is the cheapest thing you can do to a car. Where rust has already taken hold, the corrosion is cut back, the area treated and repainted, and that work is carried out at the body shop rather than mobile.
Key scratches and vandal damage
The depth of the scratch decides the answer. Shallow damage can be flatted and touched in, which stops it corroding and takes it out of your eyeline for a modest price. Deeper gouges, or a scratch dragged across two or three panels, are better resprayed and blended properly.
Textured plastic trim repair
Bumper inserts, wheel arch mouldings, mirror caps and sill trims. Cracks are welded and the grain rebuilt so the repair does not read as a smooth patch on a textured surface, and black trim that has gone grey and chalky is brought back to its original colour.
Answers
Vehicle Body Repairs in Leeds: common questions
Do you actually travel to Leeds?
Yes, though it is the furthest city on our regular map at forty five miles and about an hour over the M62. Leeds work is booked as full day visits, often with Bradford or Halifax on the same run, or as a workshop job with free collection and delivery. There is no travel charge either way.
Which parts of Leeds do you cover?
The city centre in LS1 and LS2, LS11 to the south, LS6 around Headingley, LS8 towards Roundhay, and LS16, LS17 and LS18 including Horsforth. Because a Leeds trip is a planned day, grouping helps: two or three cars in the same part of the city, or several vehicles at one address, make the visit far easier to schedule.
Can you repair my car while it sits in a Leeds multi storey?
Not inside a multi storey, no. Spraying needs ventilation, daylight to check the finish and space around the panel, none of which a parking deck offers, and most operators would not allow it in any case. Repairs are done at your home, at a workplace car park with permission, or at the Radcliffe workshop.
How do you match the paint on an older car?
The paint code gets us the starting point, then the mix is adjusted against the panel itself, because paint fades at different rates depending on colour, age and how the car has been kept. The new colour is then blended outwards into the surrounding paint rather than stopping at a hard edge, and the result is checked outside in daylight.
What is guaranteed on the repair?
Parts and workmanship on every job we carry out. If a repair lifts, flakes, cracks or the colour reads wrong, it gets put right. That guarantee is also the reason we turn down work belonging at an accident repair centre and refuse to spray in rain or frost, because neither repair would last and a failed panel an hour away helps nobody.
